Congenital Gastric Diverticulum of the Fundus

Congenital Gastric Diverticulum of the Fundus

52 years old women with no past medical history, presented for microcytic anemia due to iron deficiency. Upper endoscopy showed a wide-mouthed diverticulum of the size of 2?3 cm in the fundus of the stomach well observed in retro flexion (Figure 1). Timed barium oesophagram confirmed the presence of diverticulum of the fundus. No treatment was proposed as the diverticulum was asymptomatic.
