The Risk of Preterm Delivery Following Large Loop Excision of the Cervix: An Observational Cohort Study

1. Abstract

Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) is a precancerous condition common in women of reproductive age. The last decades the incidence of cervical neoplasia has decreased significantly. Important role has played the screening program amongst asymptomatic women. The aim of this retrospective study was to estimate the effect of LLETZ on pregnancy outcome among women that had been treated previously for CIN and compare these results with the pregnancy outcome among women with preterm delivery and without history of LLETZ.
