1.1. Background: Bulla is a spherical air-filled cavity in the interlobular spaces and under the pleura. Small bullae rarely compromise breathing; where as a large one can make it extremely difficult because of the amount of space they take up and the pressure they can exert on the surrounding tissues. The aim of this study to assess the sensitivity and specificity of the conventional symptoms and signs in making a diagnosis of bullous lung disease in Sudanese patients in Al-Shaab Teaching Hospital – Khartoum Sudan as well as management options.
