1. Abstract
Skin cancer is the most common malignancy in the world and also the most common form of cancer in the United States. The exact incidence of skin cancer is difficult to determine due to lack of diagnostic criteria and underreporting. According to The American Cancer Society, in 2022, an estimated 197.700 new cases of melanoma will be diagnosed in the US, while 7,650 people will die from the disease. Because of its prevalence, several chemoprotective substances, capable of mitigating the effects of the disease have been studied.
